WHAT IS SHOTCRETE?
The ACI’s “Guide to Shotcrete” defines Shotcrete as “concrete conveyed through a hose and pneumatically projected at a high velocity onto a receiving surface.” The shotcrete process produces extremely dense and durable concrete. Shotcrete is an ideal method to place concrete in a variety of applications where forming is difficult, if not impossible.
